Private Referrals
Posted or Updated on 4 Jun 2025
Dear Patient,
If you choose to proceed with a private referral for your care, please be advised of the following important information:
1. Private Investigations Requirement:
o All investigations required as part of your private referral, including but not limited to blood tests, ECGs, scans (e.g., X-rays, MRIs, CTs), or any specialist diagnostics, will need to be arranged and funded privately.
2. NHS Limitations:
o Rockleigh Court Surgery is unable to request or process these investigations through the NHS once you have opted for private care. NHS resources and services cannot be used to support private referrals.
3. Patient Responsibility:
o It is your responsibility to liaise with the private provider to organise and pay for any required tests or follow-up investigations.
4. Results and Follow-Up:
o Private providers should follow you up with the requested investigations.
5.Private Prescriptions:
o Prescription requests from private providers are not always transferable to an NHS prescription. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and is subject to NHS prescribing guidelines and clinical appropriateness.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Kind regards,
Rockleigh Court Surgery
